Daytona coming up and New format announced...

Just wondering what everyone's take is on these enhancements in Nascar for 2017 Season?? Is it a good thing for the sport or just more rules to confuse things? What about the stage racing with cautions throughout a race, I thought that was for the All Star Race not every race!! I realize I haven't seen a race yet like this but I could see how it could be confusing!! Personally as a Fan I don't feel I need breaks in a race as I can take care of myself and what I need but perhaps the Nascar brass still needs some help throughout a race!! Lastly Why didn't they try this out on the other series first before putting it in motion in the cup series?

It is what it is. Personally, I think it's a sad de-evolution in order to make every race and every season to create a game 7, walk-off home run sudden death overtime goal/TD out of everything, rather than racing the way it has always been. Put another way, find a kid today who is interested in cars in the first place and I'll show you a race fan...but they are few and far between. Rant over...I'll still watch for the noise and the smells and the unpredictability. You can't script or plan drama. With good racing, it just happens. It's not contrived.

I don't like it either Paul it seems too manufactured or controlled but as Jim2 was saying that is the way they feel they can market the product. Too bad really but Jim2 you said it well. It should just be Lets Go Racing Boys!!!!
