Re: Bristol Motor Speedway
I'm pissed off. I chose Larsen to win and, like the fighter he is, he battled back to 4th place by the last lap. Then some a**hole took him out about 500 yds from the finish line and he finished in 20th position.
What a points hit (-16 points).
Oh well, maybe next week but Jim2 is going to be hard to catch.

a long read
Well my take on the racing system as it current is as limited as my knowledge may be is the fact that the drivers every week will race hard for a win more so then points in a way especially because if they are in the top 30 in points as a win gets them a spot in the chase. This said do I feel any driver intentionally knocks another out of contention I don't know but I do know that racing hard will and does result in spin outs and wrecks most times and yes it sucks when its your pick and last lap of a race too.. We have all had a taste of a knock in the pts and being pissed off. I was a bit pissed at Martin Truex's results too but he put myself in that spot going for a win and was spun out.
As for Jim2 (current Leader in pts) He got there by picking well each week and I'm sure a bit of luck too. Anybody choosing a driver each week does so to win just like in Nascar and no one knows what is going too happen..We just keep on putting our best pick out there each week as We see it in the hopes of a great result with some good luck too!! I don't worry so much about what others are doing in the points as I do about getting that win!! I was very close last week so close I could taste it and for sure Papa jim that Larson deserved a better finish and a reason to be pissed!! They will race again this week in Bristol I'm sure and I'm glad they do so bless them for their love of racing!!

Great to be back home from vacation and the Glen race weekend! Yep...takes luck to lead races and pools. My pick for Bristol part deux under the lights is #20 Matt Kenseth. Enjoy the race! Jim2

RAIN DELAY = TV Coverage
Scheduled to resume at 1:00 EDT. TV coverage is to be on CNBC. Seeking broadcast channel info for TSN for Canadian fans. CNBC in Canada is Channel 184 on Rogers Cable, but not sure if the Canadian channel is allowed to pick up the race. Jim2
